Internet

• 3 fibre connections via two different internet operators.
• The cables into the building enter from two different directions and never cross each other.
• Dual BGP routers connected to different fuses and separate UPS units.

Fire protection

• Minimal flammable material is used in the data centre. Cabinets, cable trays, etc. are made of metal.
• Dual independent fire alarms that are tested regularly.
• Regular routines are in place to prevent dust, since dust is a common cause of fire in data centres.
• Fire extinguishing equipment is available both inside and just outside the hall so fires can be put out quickly.

Power supply

• Each rack cabinet has its own electricity meters so that fuses and backup power are not at risk of being overloaded.
• UPS units protect the equipment against harmful disturbances in the power grid and act as backup power during short power outages.
• In the event of any electrical work, we can easily switch a rack cabinet over to other fuses or to a generator while in operation.
• The option of more power outlets can be offered without awkward power strips and similar, using special split cables.
• During longer power outages we have generators that take over the power supply in about 25 seconds; during the switchover the power runs on batteries.
• The generators are test-run continuously so that we know they work as they should when they are needed.

Transport

• For large packages it is easy to have the equipment shipped all the way into our data centre via the loading dock and goods lift adjacent to the data centre.

Alarms & Security

• The property is alarm-protected and camera-monitored, with a separate alarm and camera surveillance for the data centre itself.
• For security reasons we log all entry to and exit from the data centre.

Service

• Monitoring of vital areas such as power outages, cooling problems, water damage, DNS errors, etc. alerts our staff by phone around the clock.
• To be able to perform actions on servers quickly, a service trolley is available equipped with a screen, keyboard, mouse, DVD reader and floppy disk drive.

Rack

• There are always free spaces in our rack cabinets with cabling already run.
• Thermometers are present in all rack cabinets so you can check that the temperature inside is correct.
• All our rack cabinets are prepared with power cables, network cables and shelves so you can quickly get started without troublesome installation.
